Country Chili

1 Large onion chopped
1 Clove garlic chopped
1 Tablespoon margarine
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon dried basil
1 Teaspoon chili powder
1/2 Teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 Teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 Teaspoon pepper
16 Ounce can tomatoes un-drained
8 Ounce can red kidney beans

Sauté onion and garlic in margarine in a large saucepan until tender
Add salt, basil, chili powder, oregano, thyme, and pepper, stirring well
Stir in tomatoes and beans
Simmer uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes
Serve hot
