Cream of Tomato Soup

Ingredients:

1 quart milk 1 pint tomatoes
2 tbs. plain flour 2 tbs. Canola oil
1/4 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. sugar


Preparation:

Make a white sauce of milk, oil, & flour.  Puree tomatoes in blender.  Add soda to tomatoes.   Add tomatoes to white sauce.  Add sugar, salt, & pepper.  Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
