Turkey Chili

Canola oil 
2 pounds ground turkey 
1 green pepper, chopped 
1 large onion, chopped 
dash of accent, optional 
dash of garlic powder 
salt and pepper to taste 
1 large can tomatoes in puree, (28 ounces) 
1 1/2 cans tomato sauce (8 ounce can size) 
1 or 2 cans kidney beans, drained (16 ounce) 
1/4 cup of beer 
2 to 4 tablespoons of honey or brown sugar, or to taste 
2 packets commercial chili mix 
dash of cayenne pepper, to taste 
grated cheese 

Heat oil in a large pot. Brown ground turkey. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or more. Can also be cooked in the crock pot, after the ground turkey has been browned. Top with grated cheese (Mozzarella, cheddar, or Monterrey Jack), sour cream, oyster crackers, chopped onions, taco chips, etc.
